Hi, I'm Rachel

Welcome to my Lancashire Wedding Photography web page

Since 2015, I've been shooting weddings all over Lancashire and the North of England. I started when I was studying for my BA(Hons) in Photography at Leeds University and since finishing I’ve been thrilled to take all that experience and everything I’ve learnt to create amazing memories for my fab couples!

You're probably scouting around trying to find a photographer for your wedding day.  It's not easy.  There are literally hundreds to choose from.

The most important thing is that whoever you pick is the right person for you guys, someone who can fit in to your day, mingle with your guests and be a part of all the fun as well as capturing the amazing moments and creating amazing shots for you to look back on.

I'd love for us to have an introductory chat, and meeting up in person or a facetime/skype is a great way to break the ice, find out more about your plans and for you to ask any questions too!

Choosing a Wedding Photographer

It's not easy making the decision of who to photograph your wedding day.  There's too much choice.  In the last few years there has been an explosion of wedding suppliers appearing, not just in Lancashire but up and down the country.

You might spend hours going through hundreds of websites trying to find a wedding photographer that not only fits your budget but also has the kind of style of images you like.  On the other hand you might just find the right one straight away!

When you've found a few you like, and who are in your budget it's really important to make time for a chat with them.  I've found Skype and Facetime an amazing way for my couples and I to chat before the big day

I speak to loads of couples getting married and more often than not these are the things they want from their wedding day:

  • Candid Moments

  • Group Photos that don't take forever

  • Portraits that don't make them feel uncomfortable on the day

  • Someone who is really passionate about what they do

The good news is that this is the kind of stuff I do! So how does it all come together.  The backbone of shooting your wedding is the story.  This is the documentary narrative which really tells you how the day unfolded, from getting ready in the morning to crazy dance moves at night.  Candid moments that capture the essence of it all.  I put all this together in a slideshow so after the big day you can just sit back and watch the whole thing back.

Then there's some formal group photos, I'll help guide you through how it all works and which ones to choose.  Finally theres the pics of you two.  Don't worry about this.  I'll make it as natural as possible for you.

On the day the important thing is to just let it all happen and have the time of your lives.  The best bit of advice I can give you is to surround yourself with people who know what they are doing and let them help steer you through the day.
